Vaping cannabis has been around for a long time, but is still a bit of a niche market in the cannabis world, but more and more people are catchign on to the benefits of vaping over smoking their cannabis.
Not only is it is the cleanest way to consume your prescribed cannabis, you can also use the left overs to make edibles, oils tinctures and even balms.
Dry herb vaping removes the risk of tobacco (and inhaling burning cannabis), as you heat up the flower it will release different cannabinoids, flavinoids at different temperatures (see the table below), not only that but there is very little waste as you are not burning it while you don't inhale, you can also recycle the remains in the bowl (unlike joints or bongs!), to find out more about dry herb vaping read on below
Dry herb vaping is becoming more popular, though it has been around for a while, as more people turn to cannabis for help they are also seeking healther alternatives to smoking.
Edibles, oils and vaping are gaining more popularity around the world, here in the UK, patients are advised to use a vape for their medicinal cannabis, not only can you control the temprature but also ensure you are usig the right amount too.
It's not just about the THC:
There is a lot more to cannabis than THC (and CBD), there are a number of flavinoids, terpenes and canibinoids (which can be found in other foods and plants, including Thyme, mango, and hops), all of working together with your bodies endocanboidal system*.
Different temperatures will release different comounds in the plant.
160-180 ℃ will release more aromas, terpines and decarboxlyate some of the canibinoids to give you lite effects.
180-195 ℃ will release more canibinoids, will be less fragrant but you will get more effect from the medicanal cannabis.
195 - 220 this will give you the fullest effect of the medication, as you will be releasing all of the canibioids and terpines.
Like anything new, start slowly and work your way up. if you haven't had cannabis before, it can be a little overwhelming the first time your thc or cbd receptors are fully activated.
There are a number iof different vaping devices available, the most common is portable vapes, like the Mighty by Sootze& Bckle, The Solo II, by Ariza, The capstone, The Px 3, by Pax. easch one has their pros and cons, some people will resond better to cermic chambers than to sercival alluminum.
You can also get desk top vapes that hld a lager capcity and can either be used with vaping bags or a "whip", which is esetially a pipe.

Patient 11, suffers from a number of conditions including chronic and neuropathic pain, before starting their cannabis prescription they were on a variety of medications, prescribed over 30 tablets to take in one day.
With the help of specialists, from one of the private clinics that are able to provide caniboidial-based prescribed medications, and utilise the dry herb vapes to their full potential I have reduced that to two doses a day
DRY HERB VAPING IS THE FUTURE of cannabis consumption!
I am one of the earliest medical cannabis patients in the UK, I had smoked cannabis prior to that, but never this high strength nor with so much benefit.
Before I started the prescribed flower, like everyone else, I knew you could smoke it or you could eat it, though I knew nothing of decarboxylation at that point, so much weed wasted (that's another story and more on decarbing in the food section!).
I started my prescription using joints, and it worked, but I only got one go and that was that it is a tricky thing to give up, not just because of the tobacco, but there is a ritual involved with rolling a joint, which is difficult to replace, but you can train yourself to clean your vape as part of a new ritual, it also means you get a good clean hit every time if you keep it clean.
Dry herb Vapes come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, some fit in your pocket, others sit on the table, there are so many different designs and materials used it is difficult to know what makes a good vape, but essentially they are all designed to do the same thing, heat up herbs to release different effects, mainly used for cannabis (but other herbs do work, more on that another time), you can set the temperature and off you go. One of the big advantages of dry herb vaping is the lack of waste, unlike a joint, if you are done you just turn it off, and then you can have another hit when you need to, once your bowl is finished, you can save the remains in a separate container and it can be used to create more to help with your condition, from oil to baking with it or putting it your fruit smoothie. This feature is to help you decide which vape might be best for you, after spending a lot of money on different vapes, I hope to help you find the one right for you, first time!
There is no combustion with dry herb vaping so there is reduced risk to your health too as there is no smoking involved.
A portable dry herb vape is a great way to ensure you can take your prescription quickly and discreetly while you are out and about, just make sure you are fully charged before leaving the house!
***These are not medical devices, though they were recommended by your prescribing doctor, currently, there are no medically registered cannabis vaping devices available on the UK market, anyone claiming to sell a medical device is deceitful, these are intended purely for recreational use, at this time.
